About the Piseco Yacht Club

The Piseco Yacht Club, founded in 1961, runs races on Piseco Lake at Piseco, NY every weekend from the end of June through Labor Day weekend, with two races every Saturday and on some Sundays and weekdays.

PYC sailors enjoy fun and fair competition on one of the most beautiful lakes in the Adirondacks!

Throughout the season members of all skill levels, sailing a wide variety of boats, compete in various events including the Founders Cup, Senior Regatta, and Sunfish Bowl. Flying Scots and Sunfish have their own seasonal class trophies, though almost any sailboat design can win the overall season Variety Class trophy.

The club is always looking to welcome new members regardless of age or previous sailing experience! If you're unsure about joining please feel free to come sail a few races with us and/or contact other members for training or more info.

To join or to get more info on racing, schedule, rules, etc., check out the official PYC website at www.pisecoyachtclub.org, or contact current commodore Tiff Ford (dexter.ford@icloud.com).

In addition to looking for new members, the PYC is also looking to increase opportunities for youth sailing including free lessons and shorter races. We also run various non-racing events each year, including a Moonlight Kayak Paddle, a casual Sail Around the Lake, and a July 4th Boat Parade.
